Center Drill Stand
A very simple project, but I had the camera handy...
I use Keo brand combination center drills - countersinks. Keo is a U.S. company, they make these necessary drills in very small sizes, not otherwise easily found. They offer the following small sizes, with 60 degree countersinks and with a 1/8" shank.
#00000 = 0.010" = 0.254mm
#0000 = 0.015" = 0.381mm
#000 = 0.020" = 0.508mm
#00 = 0.025" = 0.635mm
#0 = 1/32nd (0.03125") = 0.79375mm
Since these small drills arrived in a small plastic bag, I decided to make a more suitable holder, to keep them protected. It was simply a piece of brass cutoff, 3/4", it was faced and 5 positions indexed onto the face. These positions were then drilled 1/8" on the drill press, making a nice mess. That's it!

The stand was stamped with the corresponding drill sizes. The stamping was filled with ink and rubbed over with emery paper to clean. This was my first experiment with the stamps, made by Young Bros. Stamp Works in Iowa.
